Leah Rideout is a physiotherapist who completed her Master of Science in Physiotherapy at Dalhousie University. She holds a Bachelor of Human Kinetics and Recreation (Co-op) with a concentration in Kinesiology from Memorial University of Newfoundland, where she also volunteered with the Memorial Seahawks as an athletic trainer. Leah developed her interest in physiotherapy through a lifelong involvement in sport, personal experience with injury rehabilitation, and a strong passion for science. Growing up, she participated in a variety of sports, including hockey, track and field, and volleyball. She continues to pursue her involvement in hockey as an ice hockey official and has competed at the national level, including officiating at the Hockey Canada Esso Cup. Leah emphasizes a collaborative, client-centred approach to care, working closely with individuals to help them understand their condition and achieve their functional goals. She integrates exercise prescription, manual therapy, and education to support recovery, promote long-term health, and optimize performance.
