Derrick Broks is a sports and manual physiotherapist who works with professional and amateur athletes, as well as people of all ages and backgrounds from the general public. His choice of a career in physiotherapy arose from a keen interest in his own recovery from injuries sustained in sports. Derrick graduated from the University of Alberta with a Master’s degree in Physical Therapy in 2010. Since then, he has continued to develop his knowledge and skills within the field of physiotherapy by completing many different courses. To date, he has completed courses in Anatomical Acupuncture, Integrated Dry Needling (IMS), Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA), Functional Movement Screening (FMS), Spinal and Peripheral Joint Manipulation, Crossfit Level 1 Olympic Lifting, Kinesio Taping, and Stott Pilates Mat Work. Derrick defines his success by his ability to educate his clients about their condition and use his knowledge to develop personalized solutions. He prides himself on an ability to find the solution to new injuries and also communicate methods for his patient to decrease their risk of future injury.
The initial visit is 1 hour and includes an exam and treatment.
