Amanda Cobourn, Licensed Massage Therapist
75 E Wilson Bridge Rd, Suite C-6, Worthington, OH, 43085
I have experience with therapeutic, relaxing, prenatal, and lymphatic drainage massage. Having been licensed since 2011, I am a tenured massage therapist with an integrative approach to my work with each session being tailored to your needs that day. My passion for lifelong learning has led me beyond massage therapy to certifications in lymphatic drainage and yoga instruction, as well as a bachelor's degree in business administration. When I'm not learning or working, I can be found volunteering for local organizations in Delaware like the Central Ohio Symphony and Boardman Arts Park, or at home with my cats and garden. My favorite thing about being a massage therapist is being the person everyone looks forward to seeing every day.
Massage
Basalt stones are heated and then lubricated with oil, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
