Lymphatic Drainage
Manual Lymph Drainage is a gentle, rhythmic massage technique which encourages the lymphatic system to move more fluid through the lymph nodes, which can affect immune health. The technique is extremely light, working without oil or glide to stretch the skin and increase lymph flow. Benefits include potential improvement in skin conditions, chronic pain, inflammatory conditions, and healing of acute injuries. Contraindications include heart disease, kidney disease, and infection. This massage is not intended for cancer patients or those with diagnosed lymphedema. Contact us if you have these conditions to arrange care. The experience is extremely relaxing. Treatments should be booked in a series, initially we recommend 3 treatments within a two weeks. After the initial session we can discuss scheduling options.
