Dr. Mitchel Gibson is a graduate of Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College where he finished with academic distinction. Prior to enrolling for his Doctor of Chiropractic Degree, he obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology and a Masters Degree in Applied Health Science from Brock University. Dr. Gibson’s time as a Masters student focussed on exploring the complexities of spinal cord injuries and the health benefits of exercise for this population. In doing his research, Dr. Gibson had the opportunity to work with a number of different populations including those with Multiple Sclerosis, Cerebral Palsy, Stroke, and amputees. Dr. Gibson credits his time with these incredibly inspiring people as what ignited his passion for understanding pain and helping those struggling with it find a management strategy that suits them. Dr. Gibson’s approach to Chiropractic care is rooted in providing personalized, evidence-based care that aims to empower his patients to take an active role in their recovery journey. His aim is to create a rehab experience that goes beyond pain relief; one that leaves patients feeling better equipped to prevent and manage future aches and pains that may come their way. Treatment options include soft tissue therapy, joint mobilizations and manipulations (adjustments), acupuncture, exercise prescription, and pain education/coaching. With a variety of techniques at his disposal, Dr. Gibson will work with you to find a treatment plan that fits you and your specific needs. He continues to add to his skillset with additional training in Acupuncture and continued education on all things pain, training, and nutrition. Outside of work, he looks forward to any time he can get with friends and family. Whether it be hiking, hockey, golf, or the gym, Dr. Gibson does his best to practice what he preaches and aims to stay active any way he can.
