Dr. Xermã Palmares, ND, is an international medical graduate who practiced as a conventional medical doctor in Brazil for over 15 years. Driven by his passion for holistic health, he transitioned to naturopathic medicine in Canada, graduating from the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in Toronto. He has been practising as a licensed naturopathic doctor in Canada since January 2021. He is a member in good standing of the College of Naturopathic Doctors of Alberta (CNDA) and the Canadian Association of Naturopathic Doctors (CAND). In his general naturopathic practice, Dr. Palmares combines his extensive experience in Western medicine with science-based Eastern medicine. He utilizes both functional and conventional lab tests to conduct a deeper assessment of his patients’ health. He offers a wide range of naturopathic treatments, including nutrition, TCM-acupuncture, herbal medicine (phytotherapy), homeopathy, lifestyle counseling, and hydrotherapy. All patients wishing to receive Naturopathic treatments and care (including IV therapy, Vitamin Injections, Acupuncture, Lab Testing, Mesotherapy for Pain) must first book this 60-minute Initial Naturopathic Visit. This visit consists of an in-depth assessment where information including personal health conditions, stress, diet, exercise, daily life activities, past medical history, and family history are collected to help in the diagnosis and treatment of your current health complaint(s). Your Naturopathic Doctor will recommend safe and appropriate treatments for you.
