Alessia graduated from Queen Margaret University in the United Kingdom, with a Master’s of Science in Physiotherapy. Prior to this she completed her Bachelors of Science with Specialized Honors in Kinesiology at York University. Growing up, Alessia has been involved in numerous sports having a passion for helping individuals optimize their performance and recover effectively. As a former competitive soccer player and coach, Alessia has experienced first hand the mental and physical challenges that come from sustaining and recovering from an injury. Alessia integrates her strong foundation in movement with a genuine commitment to patient care. Her practice is rooted in a person-centered approach, recognizing the uniqueness of each individual and working collaboratively to develop treatment plans aligned with their goals. Alessia combines evidence-based techniques with a deep understanding of the unique demands of life and sports, bringing a comprehensive approach to physiotherapy. Driven by a passion for continuous growth, Alessia is committed to advancing her career by pursuing specialized training in spinal manipulation and pelvic health, ensuring she remains at the forefront of the science behind physiotherapy, motivated by a goal to provide each individual she works with, a personalized and effective experience. Outside of the clinic, you’ll find Alessia engaging in activities such as strength training at the gym, running, playing soccer and softball. Her other interests include cooking or baking for everyone she knows and spending time with friends and family.

Physiotherapy Initial

Your first session is a detailed, one-on-one evaluation to understand your condition and build a personalized treatment plan. It includes: Health & Injury History: Discussion of your current symptoms, medical background, lifestyle, and goals. Postural & Movement Assessment: Observation of how you move to identify dysfunctions or imbalances. Functional Testing: Evaluation of strength, flexibility, range of motion, balance, and coordination. Orthopedic & Neurological Screening: Specific tests to pinpoint the source of pain or limitation. Goal Setting & Education: Clear explanation of your diagnosis and what you can do to support your recovery. Personalized Treatment Plan: A tailored plan outlining your path to recovery, including treatment options and home strategies.
