Prateek completed his Masters in Physiotherapy at the University of Toronto. Prior to this he obtained his Honours in Kinesiology degree at McMaster University. His admiration of the physiotherapy profession began from being a patient while playing competitive ice hockey growing up and experiencing various musculoskeletal injuries. His practice consists of using a direct hands-on treatment approach and an individualized exercise program to facilitate better movement and alleviate pain. He is trained in medical acupuncture with electrical stimulation and has advanced his manual therapy skills through several specialized courses. He also incorporates other modalities such as dry needling, cupping and shockwave therapy to enhance treatment outcomes. He has experience treating high level athletes including leagues such as NCAA Division 1, Canadian University athletes, Junior Hockey (OHL, Jr. A), AAA leagues, across a variety of sports including hockey, basketball, soccer, football, and baseball. He has also worked as a personal trainer where he worked with a variety of patients while emphasizing functional movements and motivating clients in exercise promotion. Whatever your issue, Prateek is committed to tailoring his care to meet your unique and individual goals. Outside the clinic, Prateek is a passionate Toronto Sports fan. He enjoys travelling, trying new restaurants in the city, and engaging in physical activities such as hockey, golf, and running.
