What Is Acupuncture? Acupuncture is an ancient healing practice rooted in Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), with a history spanning thousands of years. It involves the gentle insertion of very fine, sterile needles into specific points on the body to encourage balance, support the body's natural healing processes, and promote overall well-being. Acupuncture may help support the management of pain, muscle tension, stress, headaches and migraines, digestive concerns, sleep difficulties, hormonal concerns, and a variety of other health conditions. Your treatment will be tailored to your individual needs and health goals. An assessment and intake form will be completed with your acupuncturist as part of your initial appointment. This will include specific questions regarding your health history, current concerns, and individual needs. Your assessment will be incorporated into your acupuncture treatment to help create a personalized approach to wellness. Acupuncture sessions can also include one or more complementary treatments, available at an additional cost and selected according to your individual needs: * Cupping * Acupressure Massage * Reflexology * Moxibustion * Reiki If you have any questions or would like more information, please call 902-670-7305.
