Laura graduated from West Coast College of Massage Therapy in Victoria. While working in the field of accounting for 25 years, she found her passion for massage while taking a weekend course to gain confidence while giving her partner massages. She enjoyed the course so much that she promised herself that if she ever got a chance to go to WCCMT, she would do it. Four years later, her chance came, and the rest is history. As a new RMT, Laura looks forward to continuing her education and learning new techniques and skills to incorporate into her practice. Laura believes in the value of relaxation as a therapeutic approach, but considers herself a “trigger point person”. Besides trigger point release, she incorporates myofascial release, Swedish techniques, soft tissue release, and stretching/strengthening into her treatments. Born and raised in Nova Scotia, Laura has lived in Victoria, BC half her life. When not at work, she loves exploring the province: hiking with her dog, kayaking, camping, skiing and snowboarding. She is always in awe at the beauty of the many mountains, islands, beaches and rivers that make up this amazing place we call home.
