Dr. Heather Goldthorpe is originally from North Bay, Ontario. She graduated from the University of Guelph in 2010 with an Honours degree in Biomedical Science and completed a Masters degree in Cellular and Molecular Medicine at the University of Ottawa in 2013. She began her education at the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine (CCNM) in 2012 and received her Doctor of Naturopathy degree in May 2016. While enrolled at CCNM, Heather completed a 1-year internship at the Robert Shad Naturopathic Clinic, a 4-month internship at the Queen West Community Health Centre, and a 9-day Global Health Course in Nicaragua with Natural Doctors International. Dr. Heather has a special interest in women’s health (PCOS, thyroid disease, endometriosis, menopause, irregular periods), preconception and postpartum, thyroid conditions and fatigue, gastrointestinal concerns (IBS, celiac, constipation, bloating, chronic antibiotic use), anxiety, autoimmune disease, and skin conditions. Her practice utilizes laboratory testing and focuses on the foundations of health, proper supplementation, clinical nutrition, anti-aging, and lifestyle counselling. In her spare time, Dr. Heather enjoys spending time with her family, listening to podcasts/audiobooks, and diving into health-related research.
