Tyler was born and raised in Williams Lake, graduating from WLSS in 2003. Following high-school, Tyler attended TRU for two years, transferring to the University of Saskatchewan to complete a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology, graduating with Honors and Great Distinction in 2008. From 2005 to 2008 Tyler worked with the University of Saskatchewan Men’s Hockey and Football teams as a student trainer and strength coach. In 2010 Tyler was accepted into the Master of Physical Therapy program at the U of S, graduating in the fall of 2012. Continuing his training in 2016, Tyler completed his certificate in Anatomical Acupuncture. In his younger years Tyler competed in amateur boxing, winning a Canadian championship in 2001, also medaling at the 2002 and 2003 national championships, including a silver medal at the Canada Winter Games. He volunteers with the Williams Lake Rugby Football Club, enjoys strength training and playing rec hockey. In his time away from the gym and clinic, Tyler enjoys spending time with his wife and family.
