Maia grew up on the South Shore of Nova Scotia. Drawn to healthcare and rehabilitation, she graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy, with honors. In school, she learned Traditional Swedish Massage techniques, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point Therapy as well as Cupping and Hydrotherapy Modalities. Maia enjoys working with athletes of every level and has worked as an athletic trainer for various hockey, volleyball and soccer clubs. Including the South Shore Mustangs (U18 Major) and South Shore Lumberjacks (Junior A), and was part of the Host Medical Team for the 2023 North American Indigenous Games. She’s currently the Athletic Trainer for the U15 Major Bedford Bandits Hockey Club! She creates individualized treatment plans for all patients to get them back to doing the things they love. When not in the clinic Maia enjoys being by the ocean, swimming laps in the pool and spending time with friends and family.
