Dr. Casey graduated as a Doctor of Chiropractic from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Prior to chiropractic school, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Human Nutritional Sciences at the University of Manitoba, and currently holds a license as a Registered Dietitian. Dr. Casey sees nutrition as a key component of health and healing and enjoys incorporating this into her practice regularly. Dr. Casey works with her patients to curate a specialized treatment plan for their individual needs, conditions, and abilities. Her treatments include a combination of manual or instrument assisted adjustments, passive therapies for muscle relaxation, and therapeutic exercises to build strength, stability, and re-educate motor patterns. During treatment Dr. Casey holds a heavy focus on educating her patients on their conditions and provides a thorough examination and treatment plan to find and fix the root cause. Dr. Casey holds special certifications and training in passive therapies and techniques including: - IASTM (instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization) aka Graston - Kinesio-taping - Cupping - Fascial Manipulation - Craniosacral Technique (CST) - Webster Technique (pregnancy) - Infant Adjusting Dr. Casey also values movement as medicine and holds a special interest in rehabilitative exercises including: - McKenzie method of Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy (MDT) - Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) - Neurodynamics (nerve flossing) - Reflex Locomotion Dr. Casey is a newcomer to Ontario, and she often spends her weekends exploring all this province has to offer. As an outdoor enthusiast Dr. Casey enjoys fishing, softball, pickleball, hiking, and kayaking in the summer months. In the winter months she enjoys playing and watching hockey (Go Jets Go!). Dr. Casey is a registered chiropractor with the Chiropractic College of Ontario and a member of the Ontario Chiropractic Association, and Canadian Chiropractic Association.
