Dr. Larisa Shevchuk started her health care journey as a Registered Nurse in Vancouver BC and worked in cardiac unit, medicine-surgery, Intensive Care and Post-Anesthesia Recovery. She started to be under Chiropractic Care at the age of 20 and at the same time was introduced to yoga by a friend and to mediation by her mother. Dr. Larisa started to practice more eastern healing principles and less western approaches. Dr. Larisa Shevchuk began her healthcare journey as a Registered Nurse in Vancouver, BC, working in high-intensity settings including cardiac care, medical-surgical units, ICU, and post-anesthesia recovery. Early on, she experienced the power of chiropractic care herself (starting at age 20!), and around the same time was introduced to yoga by a friend and meditation by her mother. These experiences sparked a lifelong passion for blending Eastern healing wisdom with Western medical knowledge. Dr. Larisa moved to Toronto to earn her Doctor of Chiropractic degree from the Canadian Memorial Chiropractic College and has happily called Toronto home ever since. She is a proud mama of two children, a devoted dog mom, and a trained Animal Chiropractor with over a decade of hands-on experience. With a heart for whole-family care, Dr. Larisa treats everyone from tiny humans to wise elders—and even their beloved animals. Her unique approach weaves together chiropractic care with somatic healing through the five senses, therapeutic conversations for individuals and groups, energy work (Therapeutic Touch), and self-love practices that support true, lasting healing.
