Alex is a registered physiotherapist originally from Cambridge, U.K., with over 15 years of experience across physiotherapy, personal training, and sports massage. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Health and a Master’s degree in Physiotherapy. Since moving to Vancouver in 2017, Alex has focused on helping active individuals recover from injury, return to sport, and perform at their best. Alex specializes in hip, knee and ankle injuries, with a particular interest in ACL reconstruction and return-to-sport rehabilitation, as well as running and cycling-related injuries. As an ultra-marathon runner and avid cyclist, he understands the demands of endurance and field sports and the importance of rehabilitation that translates into real-world performance. His approach combines hands-on treatment with targeted exercise and objective assessment. Alex uses IMS needling, shockwave therapy, BFR training, running gait analysis, and professional bike fitting to build individualized rehabilitation programs. For runners, Alex incorporates RUNEASI AI-powered running assessment technology to provide detailed, objective data on running mechanics and gait. This helps identify movement patterns and asymmetries, track changes over time, and guide more targeted rehabilitation and running recommendations—moving beyond simply watching someone run. Whether you’re recovering from an ACL injury, dealing with a running or cycling injury, or looking to prevent injury and improve performance, Alex’s goal is simple: help you move better, get stronger, and get back to doing what you love. Outside of Launch Rehab, Alex spends his time trail running, cycling, weightlifting, playing soccer, and exploring the local mountains.
