Asef graduated in 2001 from the University of Saskatchewan’s College of Medicine Physical Therapy program. He has been providing evidence-based and patient-centered treatment for 20-years in both Alberta and Ontario. Asef realizes the importance of patient-centered rehabilitation in order to return his patients to their activities and improve their function as soon as possible, while also helping to reduce the risk of future injury. Asef, incorporates manual therapy, individualized exercise prescription, neuromuscular control retraining, pain management, and patient education, in order to deliver the best possible care and outcomes for his patients. He also enjoys making the Physiotherapy experience fun for his patients and has an easy-going personality, that helps facilitate this kind of atmosphere in the clinic. Over his many years of practicing Physiotherapy, Asef has expanded his expertise through completing various courses in Manual Therapy, Therapeutic and Kinesio-Taping, Acupuncture, Dry Needling and Cupping Therapy. He is also trained in providing both Concussion and Vestibular Rehabilitation. Asef is a strong believer in continuing education, in order to provide his patients with treatment of the best possible efficacy. Asef looks to find the underlying source of his patients’ injury, pain, or movement dysfunction and then works with them in order to achieve the best possible result and achieve their goals. This result in turn, will help improve the patients’ lifestyle towards the main goal of improved quality of life. Asef is also trained, and has years of experience, in performing independent medical assessments and reports, medico-legal reports, and Physiotherapy assessments for functional capacity evaluations. He and his young family have also been blessed to travel the world . He values the importance of exposing his son to all the world has to offer and teaching him to be understanding of all cultures and people. He also uses these values in his Physiotherapy practice by providing treatment that is inclusive and respectful towards all people and that all patients feel empowered and safe while under his care.
