Dr. Nolan Kennedy, originally from Epworth, Iowa, earned his Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Iowa State University graduating with magna cum laude honors. He then went on to earn his Doctorate of Chiropractic from Palmer College of Chiropractic, in Davenport, Iowa, where he was salutatorian of his class. As a lifelong Iowan, Dr. Kennedy’s goal is to provide care to as many people as he can reach and make the greater Cedar Rapids area a healthier place for all who reside. Within chiropractic exists many different techniques and styles of adjusting. Dr. Kennedy utilizes Diversified, Gonstead, Thompson, Activator, and extremity adjusting techniques. Everyone’s spine is unique and with that comes different preferences of adjusting styles. Dr. Kennedy’s main priority is tailoring each patient’s care to what is most comfortable and efficient for that specific patient. Symptoms can display in similar manners from patient to patient, but Dr. Kennedy’s goal is to get to the root cause of an issue and analyze the patient as a whole, not merely someone with a specific type of pain. During his free time, you can find Dr. Kennedy playing with his dog, Ziggy, watching or participating in sporting events, tasting craft beer, playing bar trivia, or spending time with his friends and family in Eastern Iowa.

New Patient Visit

This appointment is required for those who are new to the practice or have been inactive for 3 years or longer. The appointment includes a detailed history, an exam assessing range of motion, posture, neurological testing, orthopedic testing, and a report of findings from the evaluation. X-ray's may be taken upon request or if the doctor feels it's necessary for further examination. After your evaluation is complete, you will receive an adjustment and other therapies discussed with your doctor.
