Filip studied in Australia and graduated from The University of Queensland with a Master of Physiotherapy Studies in 2017 continuing on from his SFU Bachelor of Kinesiology in 2015. Filip has completed post-graduate training in Dry Needling and Clinical Pilates and he is particularly interested in headaches/migraines and neck pain. He is also a proud member of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association as well as the Physiotherapy Association of BC. Filip was born in Romania, raised in Port Moody, and graduated just around the corner at Charles Best Secondary School. He played Rugby throughout high school, both school and club. He continued with club Rugby during his undergrad degree, playing for United Rugby and SFU Rugby in later years. Throughout his time at SFU, he worked as a student trainer with the SFU Varsity Men’s and Women’s Wrestling teams as well as the Canadian Wrestling team from 2012-2015. He also spend time with the SFU Varsity Football, Cross Country, and Track & Field teams. Outside of SFU, Filip has worked with various sports teams/organisations in Canada and Australia including: Football BC, SFU Rugby, UQ College Sport (Rugby, Volleyball, and Touch Football), and has been the Team Trainer for the Coquitlam Junior Adanacs Lacrosse team alongside Saqib from 2013-2015. In his free time, Filip likes to stay active through weight-lifting and hiking. He also continues to take further post-graduate courses to improve his skills and knowledge to better aid his patients.
