Lisa is a Registered Physiotherapist and graduated with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2004 from McMaster University. Lisa believes in always striving to find the source of her patient’s pain and treating the dysfunction, not only the symptoms. In order to achieve this goal, she has taken more than 24 courses on advanced manual therapy techniques, Concussion certification (CCMI and Shift Level 2 , Vestibular Rehab, Craniosacral therapy, SI joint and Hip courses, Neural Manipulation Level 1-4, Visceral manipulation Level 1-4, Advanced Neck and Thorax fascial techniques, Pelvis, Neurokinetic Therapy (NKT), SFMA and muscle retraining. Lisa treats the following: Concussion, vestibular dysfunction/ Dizziness, Chronic headaches, migraines, Pins and Needles/numbness in limbs, sciatica, Injuries following a falls or car/bike accidents, TMJ (Jaw) including care after orthodontic treatment or dental surgery, ALL joint muscle and nerve pain, post partum health including diastasis rectii and incontinence, post surgical rehab for all orthopedic conditions, post surgical rehab and scar tissue work after all surgeries/radiation (abdominal, masectomy, cardiac, hernia repair, prostate, bladder, c-section, hysterectomy), swelling in legs , identifying motor control issues, postural imbalances, pediatrics, athletes She focuses on a holistic approach and ensures after a thorough assessment, she will develop a patient centred treatment plan involving manual therapy, exercises and education to prevent re-injury. Lisa has also been a preceptor for training physiotherapy assistant students, kinesiologists and resident physiotherapists. After spending a year living in New Zealand, she has a great appreciation for the outdoors and enjoys rock climbing hiking and biking. When Lisa is not working, she is busy being a mom, participating in a variety of outdoor activities, and working out.
