Nurture Acupuncture

Hedy Herrick began her second career as a practitioner of Chinese medicine in New York City after completing a four-year Masters of Science in Traditional Oriental Medicine from the Pacific College of Oriental Medicine (PCOM) in San Diego and New York City. While there, Hedy ran a successful private acupuncture and herbology practice in Manhattan while also working at a community acupuncture clinic in Brooklyn. She gained invaluable experience treating a diverse population of patients with a wide range of health conditions. After relocating to Massachusetts, Hedy met Libby and immediately knew that Nurture was the right place for her to begin the next phase of her career. Prior to these endeavors, Hedy wasn’t always a healthcare practitioner. She majored in economics in her undergraduate years at the University of Rochester, and shortly after began climbing the corporate ladder in Boston. Meanwhile, Hedy was experiencing her own health struggles for which she was unable to find relief through the modern healthcare system. That led to her discovery of Chinese Medicine, and she became thirsty to learn more. After years of feeling somewhat unfulfilled with her corporate career, she left it behind to pursue her degree in acupuncture and herbal medicine. She hasn’t looked back since, as being able to help others has proven to be more gratifying than she could have ever imagined.
