Dr. Shaun Lemke graduated from the University of British Columbia with a degree in Human Kinetics. He grew up playing several different sports and encountered a variety of injuries, which in turn led him to discover chiropractic and how it could help not only treat his injuries but enhance his performance. His love for sports and dedication to health led Dr. Shaun to pursue a Bachelors degree in Human Biology and subsequently earning a Doctorate in Chiropractic at the University of Western States in Portland, Oregon. While in school he was involved with the sports medicine club that allowed him to treat at several community athletic events such as marathons, wrestling and volleyball tournaments. Since graduating, Dr. Shaun continues to focus on helping in the community by providing treatment to the athletes of BC Wheelchair Basketball. Dr. Shaun has also been involved with hockey, lacrosse and rugby as a player, coach and athletic trainer. Dr. Shaun is a diversified chiropractor that treats not only spinal complaints but also the joints of the extremities. He is full body certified in Active Release Technique (ART) which is a complex, hands-on treatment that has proven incredibly effective in treating a variety of neuromusculoskeletal disorders. Dr. Shaun is also proficient in several other treatment techniques such as Graston and Rock Tape. To accompany the manual therapies, Dr. Shaun utilizes active rehabilitation, nutritional counselling and the promotion of a healthy lifestyle to maximize patient outcomes. He is constantly attending various seminars and staying up-to-date on the latest research in order to maximize his ability to provide the best treatment for his patients.
