Hannah’s journey in kinesiology began with the consecutive injuries she has had while playing ultimate frisbee and volleyball recreationally and competitively. Her rehab/physio doctors have supported her and helped her heal from her injuries and inspired her to help her community. Her injuries allowed her to explore more about kinesiology and passion for weight training. Just this past year, she recently graduated from Western University with a Kinesiology degree. Hannah’s time at Western has allowed her to be an integral member of the London community. She worked at Western’s Rec Center as part of the intramurals team for volleyball and ultimate frisbee and as a personal trainer focused on weight training. She was heavily involved in Western athletics and helped student athletes in the ultimate frisbee team for athletic injuries and taping. Additionally, Hannah was a health and fitness supervisor at Horton Street Seniors’ Center working with adults coming from all backgrounds of health and fitness and post injury rehabilitation. She taught aeorobics and gym etiquette and offered personalized workout programs. Weight training holds a lot of significance to Hannah because of her many injuries and rehab that she continues to weight train and focus on big compound exercises like deadlift and squat for her own personal gain. Recently this past year, Hannah has found a love for Pilates and found that incorporating pilates into her weight training gym routine allows her to feel energized and also improve her core strength and flexibility. Hannah has taken a course with Balanced Body that allows her to teach the fundamentals of both mat and reformer exercises. Hannah is excited to incorporate her weight training background and Pilates to offer a full well balanced workout and target fitness goals. Beyond her sports and weight training background, Hannah has a passion to help her community and to extend her knowledge to those around her. Hannah’s goal is to teach and encourage people around her about fitness and healthy living and share her stories about her journey, failures and success. In her free time, Hannah enjoys her coffee/matcha latte and loves to travel and explore new places. Hannah is excited to be a part of the team at Inspine Therapy!
