Since he was little, César always practiced some kind of massage. He would use his little feet to walk on his dad’s back. In university he was the friend everyone went to when their bodies needed support. His decades long study of Aikido is what informs both his collaborative approach to the hands on bodywork as well as his emphasis on clear, compassionate communication. César holds the client-therapist relationship as sacred. In addition to providing relief, his goal for each client interaction is that they feel witnessed, respected, empowered, and cared for. He excels at gentle, deep, targeted work to help clients find relief from pain, injury, and discomfort as well as improve everyday performance. Oakland born and raised, César holds dear his Mexican heritage and is no stranger to the insidious harms of racism and patriarchy. He started Inclusive Massage East Bay because he believes that it is imperative as a health and wellness professional to provide trauma-informed care that takes into account the individual and societal harms caused by racism, transphobia, misogyny, and fatphobia.
