Gwendoline Zapf
Cochrane Physiotherapy Clinic
#211-100 Grande Blvd, Cochrane, AB, T4C0S4
Born and raised in Switzerland, Gwendoline earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy in 2016 and brings over nine years of clinical experience, having practiced in Switzerland and Québec before settling in Alberta. With a strong background in sport and strength training, Gwendoline has been part of the CrossFit community for more than eight years. In 2025, she achieved her CrossFit Level 3 Trainer (CF-L3) certification, reflecting her passion for movement, strength and conditioning, and continued learning. Her clinical focus includes orthopedic and sports rehabilitation, return-to-sport, and strength-based rehabilitation. She is certified in Functional Dry Needling and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) training and has completed additional education in movement assessment and sports performance, including SFMA, FMS, and upper-extremity rehabilitation for athletes. Gwendoline believes rehabilitation should be active, individualized, and built around each person’s goals. Whether recovering from an injury, working toward a return to sport, or simply looking to move better and feel stronger, her goal is to give patients the tools and confidence to get there. Outside the clinic, Gwendoline enjoys staying active and spending time in the mountains—hiking, skiing, skating, and exploring the outdoors whenever she can.
