Derich is a registered massage therapist and a current Kinesiology student at the University of British Columbia. He graduated from the Vancouver College of Massage Therapy and has participated in many outreach clinics, providing experience in treating a wide range of clients. Derich’s treatment style/philosophy values the power of movement, patient education, and personalized care towards any clients’ goal. He likes to include movement into his treatments partnered with modalities such as myofascial release, deep tissue, joint mobilization, sport massage, trigger point therapy and IASTM to address a variety of concerns from stress to acute/chronic injuries and performance. He is passionate about integrating the latest evidence-based research into his practice. He is currently on a research team addressing Achilles tendinopathy. This commitment to ongoing learning allows him to offer effective, evidence-informed treatments tailored to each individual’s needs. When he isn’t in the clinic, you might find him backpacking throughout the world, working out, snowboarding or playing flag/touch football. And when it’s time to unwind, he enjoys gathering friends and family for a night of board games and home-cooked meals.
