I am a board-certified acupuncturist that specializes in treating pain that has not responded to other types of treatment. I work with a wide variety of adult and adolescent patients to reduce or eliminate pain while addressing other health issues, such as the anxiety and depression that often follows an injury. I also specialize in neuro-acupuncture for acute and chronic central and peripheral nervous system disorders. I treat a broad spectrum of health concerns, but special areas of interest for me are post-concussion syndrome, migraine, fibromyalgia, peripheral neuropathy, shingles pain and Bell’s Palsy. My career also includes over 15 years of myofascial trigger point experience. Trigger points in the muscles can sometime contribute to unexplained or stubborn pain such as sciatica, low back pain and neck pain. I also practice a style of acupuncture known as Dr. Richard Tan’s Balance Method, which is good for patients who have multiple health concerns.
For patients new to this practice. Includes initial new patient intake interview and first treatment. Allow approximately 90 minutes.
