Ricardo Guerrero started his massage profession in 1990 in Calgary, studying Massage Therapy at Mount Royal University. Massage Therapy fit well with his life love long pursuit of athletics and sports. He competed for over 20 years as an elite middle distanced and marathon runner. His disciplined and passion for the body helped him cultivate knowledge and a deep understanding of movement and the science and art of body mechanics. Since then, he has also gone to study and train in Manual and Osteopath Therapy. This passion for sports and health, has naturally facilitated his growth to becoming a personal trainer, coach, and author of the book, “Myths and Truths of Massage Therapy”. Ricardo’s in-depth knowledge and understanding of anatomy, body mechanics and his personal experience in sports supported and enhanced the development of his own massage technique, called Advanced Structural Manual Therapy or ASMT. He has taught for over 20 years all levels of Massage Therapy and is currently clinical supervisor at one of the schools here in Calgary, Canada. “I have always been fascinated by the body and its movement. Helping others, through treatment or information, achieve their mental or physical potential, is always a productive feeling.” Ricardo Guerrero
