Steve graduated with a Master of Physical Therapy degree from UBC in 2009 and in 2013 completed his Certificate of Sports Physiotherapy from Sport Physiotherapy Canada. In 2006, he completed his undergraduate degree in Human Kinetics from UBC, with a specialization in Exercise Science. While at UBC he worked with many varsity athletes while volunteering as a trainer for UBC Athletics. From 2010 to 2014, Steve worked as the team physiotherapist for the Okanagan Rockets of the BC Major Midget Hockey league, as well as, the Pursuit of Excellence hockey academy. He is currently the team physiotherapist for the Okanagan College Coyotes basketball team. Steve has completed many post-graduate courses since graduating including Fit Fore Golf, which focuses on golf related injury rehabilitation, and Selective Functional Movement Assessment. He is also certified in acupuncture by the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute and IMS needling through UBC GunnIMS. His interests lie primarily in sports orthopaedics and he believes in using a balanced approach to rehabilitation, incorporating multiple techniques to achieve full recovery. Steve grew up in Kelowna and, when he gets any free time, he tries to enjoy it by playing hockey and mountain biking.
