My goal as a massage therapist is to enhance the health and well-being of those I serve by providing individualized massage. I love using massage to help clients recover from injury or just muscles tension related to being active. Massage is my meditation. It is healing for me and my clients! I was born in Utah and grew up in the shadow of the Wasatch Mountains. After graduating from Brigham Young University with a degree in Marriage Family and Human Development and minor in Humanities we moved to North Carolina. My husband and I called Greensboro home for 10 years before moving to Clayton, NC with our four children. After many years of physical and occupational therapy with my children, I became aware of the amazing benefits of massage in restoring mobility and enhancing health. This revelation encouraged me to pursue a career in massage therapy at Johnston Community College in Smithfield, NC. I was trained in Swedish massage, trigger-point therapy, myofascial release, hydrotherapy, and client health/pathology. I enjoy the endless opportunities for growth and learning that massage provides and love that my education will continue to grow throughout my career. In my free time I enjoy gardening, woodworking, sewing, going to the beach, and making my husband and children laugh.
Designed to remove severe tension, deep tissue massage is a technique used to relieve both muscles and connective tissue below the surface. This deep tissue massage helps to improve range of motion and heal injuries below the surface.
