Jane R. Bowman is a licensed Massage Bodywork Therapist (NC LMBT #10988 -issued on April 18, 2011). Born and raised in Greensboro, NC. She graduated May 2012 from Forsyth Technical Community College (FTCC), in Winston-Salem, NC with an Associated Applied Science (AAS) Degree (the highest available degree in Massage Therapy) with over 1500 hours of training so far in her career. After graduating from FTCC Jane first worked at Selah Massage (May 2011-Dec. 2011), then earned her internship at Intuitive Touch Massage & Yoga (Jan. 2012-Dec. 2012), and finally worked at Hand & Stone (Jan. 2013-July 2013) before going solo. Golden Hands Therapeutic Massage, LLC opened its door July 3, 2013 to the public. Jane’s mission is to help people with chronic pain develop a more productive, normal and painless lifestyle. She incorporates the treatment of the body as a whole (mind, body, spirit and emotions) into her therapy and demonstrates knowledge in the following techniques: Bamboo-fusion massage, Chair massage, Cupping, Deep tissue, Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD), MediCupping, Oncology massage, Positional Release, Reiki, Swedish massage, Traditional Thai massage, Thai Foot Reflexology massage, Trigger Point, and Therapeutic massage.
Massage
Combines a variety of different bodywork modalities to ensure the perfect massage each session. Modalities used are Swedish, Deep Tissue, Thai Massage stretches, Myofascial Release, Trigger Point, Cupping and Positional Release.
Lymphatic Drainage
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a type of gentle massage which is intended to encourage the natural drainage of the lymph, which carries waste products away from the tissues back toward the heart.
