Always a believer in, and advocate for optimal health, Amy is passionate about living a healthy, happy, and holistic lifestyle, while providing information and skilled support to help others maintain their own. A graduate of the Sutherland Chan School of Massage Therapy, Amy is also a Fascial Stretch Therapist and recently retired Doula. Through student clinics Amy has experience working with stroke patients, high risk pregnancies, and athletes. In addition to her work as a manual therapist, Amy possesses 10 years of yoga and meditation experience including certifications in Kundalini and prenatal yoga and most recently a certification in Sound healing. She brings a grounded and compassionate energy to her work as a massage therapist, something that she nourishes through her own meditation and mindfulness practice. Her approach to treatments is through a listening ear - taking into account the individual needs each client expresses before and during your time together as well as the feedback from your physical body. Amy believes that in order to shift physical tensions, you must mobilize the area itself therefore she likes to use a combination of active release, medium to deep tissue techniques, and fascial stretch therapy to treat and encourage lasting relief of trigger points, postural and repetitive strain issues, resting muscle tension, ‘tech neck,’ and more.
