Jimena Vargas, R.Ac., is a Registered Acupuncturist with a distinctive integrative background that bridges Western medicine and Traditional Chinese Medicine. Originally trained as a medical doctor in Mexico, she brings a refined and perceptive clinical approach that blends biomedical understanding, anatomical precision, and a deeply intuitive awareness of the body. Her work is grounded in a strong foundation of anatomy and evidence-informed care, while also honoring the subtle connections between the body, mind, and nervous system. Her practice is strongly influenced by Japanese acupuncture, a style known for its gentle, refined, and highly responsive techniques. Through subtle palpation, careful observation, and minimal stimulation, Jimena focuses on listening to the body rather than forcing change, allowing treatment to unfold in a way that feels safe, natural, and deeply regulating. She has a particular interest in musculoskeletal conditions, nervous system regulation, stress-related disorders, anxiety, insomnia, as well as women’s health, including gynecological concerns and fertility support, areas where both physical and internal landscapes intersect. Her treatments are especially supportive for patients who are sensitive, overwhelmed, or seeking a softer, more grounded therapeutic experience. Each session is gentle, intentional, and highly individualized. Jimena creates a calm and supportive space where patients can regulate their nervous system, reconnect with their bodies, and release patterns of tension. Rather than focusing solely on symptom relief, her approach is centered on understanding each patient as a whole. She works collaboratively to uncover underlying patterns and support long-term healing, guiding patients toward a deeper sense of balance, resilience, and ease within themselves.
This is a 70-min acupuncture treatment for first time clients that includes a comprehensive intake and acupuncture treatment. Treatments may also include supporting therapies such as electro needling, and cupping if appropriate and consented to by the client.
