Kara received her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta in 2014. Prior to this, she completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Calgary. While at school, Kara had the opportunity to further her knowledge in the area of rehabilitation by working with a variety of groups, including the University of Alberta Spinal Disorders Lab, University of Calgary Sport Injury Prevention Research Centre, and the University of Calgary Rehabilitation & Fitness program. Kara has undergone additional post-graduate training with the Orthopaedic Division of the Canadian Physiotherapy Association. She received her CAFCI designation from Acupuncture Canada in 2016, and her Gunn IMS certification in 2020. She has recently been added to the roster of physiotherapists in Alberta who are able to order select diagnostic imaging for their patients. Kara enjoys treating a variety of injuries and conditions, and strives to help her patients achieve their movement goals through functional exercise, education, and manual therapy. She joined Silverado Sport Physiotherapy in January 2015.
