Dr. Alexandria Fedro, founder and owner of The Warm Heart of Healing, is a Doctor of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine and licensed acupuncturist. She graduated with honors from Pacific College of Oriental Medicine where she completed over 3,300 hours of course work and 1,000 supervised clinical hours. She has completed clinic shifts at John H Stroger, Jr. Hospital of Cook County as well as St. Anthony Hospital Community Care Clinic. After earning a bachelors degree in special education at Southern Illinois University she had the desire to see the world and contribute to the lives of others. She joined the Peace Corps and served in Malawi, The Warm Heart of Africa. During her 27 month service, Alexandria attended a medicinal gardening training. Nothing was more rewarding for her than witnessing the process of a plant growing from a seedling, to harvest, and then on to successfully treat an ailment. This experience made her realize that she wanted this type of lifestyle to be reflected not only in her own life but in her career as well.
