Elitza graduated with her Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Alberta. Prior to completing her Master’s Degree, she earned a Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology from Western University. Elitza’s interest in physiotherapy peaked when she worked alongside the Western varsity lacrosse team as a trainer, playing a role in on-field injury evaluation and management, and injury prevention. Elitza is passionate about helping her patients understand their own bodies and injuries through education and by prioritizing movement-based rehabilitation. She enjoys applying strength training principles to her practice and utilizing a hands-on approach such as manual therapy, soft-tissue techniques, and functional dry needling to supplement therapeutic exercise. Elitza has obtained additional certification and training as a Certified Pelvic Health Physiotherapist. With education playing a big role in Elitza’s practice, she will ensure patients leave her sessions with self-management strategies and most importantly, feeling confident in their treatment plan and recovery. Elitza thrives on building strong relationships with her patients and empowering them to take an active role in achieving their unique goals. Outside of the clinic, Elitza loves living an active lifestyle herself! She can be found strength training in the gym or somewhere in the mountains where she enjoys hiking, biking, and snowboarding.
