FOR HEALTH'S SAKE
Hello, and thanks for stopping by to read my bio! My name is Cristina—I’m a registered acupuncturist , former paramedic, published author, women’s studies graduate, and documentary film producer. My work has spanned academia, advocacy, and front-line clinical care. With a decade of experience in emergency medicine, I developed acute diagnostic skills , resilience under pressure, and a deep respect for the body’s ability to heal under time-sensitive conditions. My transition to acupuncture was driven by an appreciation for Chinese Medicine’s holistic approach, which views health as a dynamic interplay between not only mind and body, but also spirit! Committed to ongoing education, I incorporate Dr. Lin Xue Jian’s scalp acupuncture system to treat anxiety, depression, and complex post-traumatic stress disorder. I also utilize Dr. Tan’s system of balance acupuncture to restore vitality, joy, and overall well-being. I enjoy treating mental health concerns, women’s health and fertility, as well as temporomandibular disorders. In my arsenal of care, I offer a variety of techniques, including needling, cupping, Tuina, moxibustion, scalp and auricular acupuncture and Dr. Wu’s Head massage.
