Katie grew up in the Okanagan, where she played competitive soccer, basketball, and volleyball. She was also involved in club volleyball and the Volleyball Canada Centre of Excellence as both a coach and trainer. Her athletic background, along with personal injury experience, sparked her interest in injury prevention and rehabilitation and led her to pursue a career in physical therapy. Katie began her studies at the College of the Rockies in Cranbrook, BC, earning a Diploma in Kinesiology while playing for the women’s volleyball team. She went on to complete a Bachelor of Human Kinetics at UBC Okanagan and a Master of Physical Therapy at UBC Vancouver. Since graduating, she has completed a number of additional certifications including: - Soft Tissue Release - Functional Dry Needling (IMS) (Levels 1 & 2) - Orthopaedic Manual and Manipulative Therapy (Level 3 Upper) - Temporomandibular Joint (TMJ) Management - Lumbar Spine Manual Therapy Management - Complete Concussion Management (CCMI) Katie enjoys working with clients of all ages and abilities. She utilizes a personalized, hands-on approach to treatment integrating manual therapy techniques and dry needling with therapeutic exercise and education to empower each and every one of her clients to reach their goals.
