Chronic Pain - I lived with it. Years ago I had a horseback riding accident. That, compounded by a repetitive use job, ultimately caused my hip to become immobile. I remember trying to move my hip and thinking, How am I going to continue to provide for my daughter and myself? I had no insurance at that time, but Massage Therapy helped me to retain some mobility and cope with the pain until I was able to have the hip replaced. Having lived with Chronic Pain, my focus as a Massage Therapist is to alleviate my clients pain, help them relax from their stressful day, and to point them to other resources that might benefit them.
