I graduated from the Therapeutic Massage program at Ivy Tech Community College in Bloomington, IN in 2020. I have continued to explore massage by taking courses from Erik Dalton’s myoskeletal alignment techniques program. I find massage to be a highly effective way to relieve stress, improve sleep, address chronic pain, and relieve the various aches and pains of daily living. I especially enjoy helping clients with neck and back/shoulder issues and sports massage, but really just love all kinds of massage.
Smooth stones are heated and then lubricated with oil or essential oils, the therapeutic effects of heat are used to relax muscles more deeply. Used as an extension of the therapist’s hands, the use of massage stones induces deep relaxation and provides a unique experience many find to be tremendously calming and centering.
