Innes graduated from the University of Alberta with a Masters in Physiotherapy in 2011. She spent more than a decade in Calgary building a foundation in critical care, cardiorespiratory management, post-surgical recovery, and stroke rehabilitation. Innes pursued a variety of post-graduate training including accreditation in NDTA Management of Adults with Stroke and Brain Injury, specialized Upper Quadrant Courses, and Advanced Dry Needling (Acupuncture Canada). Having navigated the full continuum of care—from high-acuity hospital settings to community-based recovery—Innes gives an empathetic perspective to the unique challenges patients face at every stage of healing. With over 15 years in clinical practice, Innes is experienced with the treatment of complex musculoskeletal and orthopaedic conditions, post surgical rehabilitation, ICBC and Worksafe clients, sport injuries, and neurological rehabilitation. She teaches clients of all ages to understand their body, alleviate symptoms and restore function; whether it is helping them move easier for daily activities, or returning to high-level performance. She uses targeted manual therapy techniques, personalized exercises, functional dry needling, and modalities to maximize your recovery and resilience to reinjury. Outside the clinic, Innes spends time with her young family, frequents coffee shops, and is an active member of the local arts community, performing regularly as a drummer in jazz and indie bands. Innes is fluent in English and conversational Cantonese.
