Keenan grew up in Ontario, has since lived in Alberta, and is now very excited to be in New Brunswick. He began his career in strength & conditioning, working with athletes, general personal training clients, and coaching Special Olympics powerlifting. In this role, he quickly became interested in how to manage injuries suffered by those he was supporting, leading him to go back to school and obtain a diploma in Massage Therapy. Keenan worked for several years as an RMT in Ontario and Alberta and during this time, he also taught and worked in curriculum development at massage therapy schools in Alberta and BC. Keenan’s curiosity and passion for assessing and treating musculoskeletal injuries spurred him to continue his education, graduating with a BSc in Human Sciences from Athabasca University, and in 2024, a MSc in Physiotherapy from University of Alberta. Keenan loves collaborating with people to help them manage an array of different injuries, with a special interest in complex chronic pains (that issue you’ve had for years that you seemingly can’t get any answers about), tendon injuries, TMJ problems, and athlete rehab. He combines his physiotherapy skills with his experience as a strength coach, athlete, and massage therapist, to utilize a unique blend of massage techniques, joint mobilizations, and progressive exercise programs to help each individual patient reach their goals. Alongside this, he places a very strong emphasis on communication and education, ensuring people understand what is going on with their bodies, and what can be done about it. Outside of work, Keenan enjoys travelling with his wife, rubbing his cats’ bellies, hiking, and training for and competing in powerlifting.
