I found my love for massage in a book about swedish massage back in 2003. I used to love to massage shoulders and backs. Decided to go to Massage school in 2013 had to drop out because of daycare Issues. I went back to massage school in 2025 and found out I did not know a thing about massage. I found out that a massage therapist is a health care provider. We are trained to look at skin conditions and deep tissue conditions. Although we do not diagnose we suggest to our clients to go see their doctors when something looks suspicious. We are not just rubbing your back. We used to be called Licensed Massage Practitioners we are now called Licensed Massage Therapists! I am proud to be a massage therapist.
