Maggie received a Bachelor’s of Kinesiology with Honours from Acadia University in 2000 where she specialized in Athletic Therapy and Sport Medicine. She was the athletic therapist for Acadia’s football team and conducted research on concussion with the varsity hockey program. Following graduation she worked in San Francisco as a certified strength & conditioning coach (CSCS). Upon returning to Canada she earned a Masters of Kinesiology (2004) from the University of Calgary where she was trained in the Human Performance Lab working with elite athletes (alpine skiers, speed skaters, swimmers and cyclists) and earned her certification as an Exercise Physiologist (CEP). Realizing her strengths were in combining exercise with sport medicine, she then did her Masters in Physical Therapy at UBC.
For new injuries or concerns, please book an initial assessment. This appointment is 45 minutes long so that the therapist has enough time to get your history and provide a complete examination before giving you treatment and a recovery plan.
