Originally from Markham, Ontario, Kennedy Yarde is an Osteopathic Manual Practitioner with a strong commitment to holistic, patient-centered care. Her practice is grounded in osteopathic principles that support the body’s inherent ability to self-heal and self-regulate. Osteopathy employs a wide range of manual techniques, guided by a practitioner’s understanding of anatomy, physiology, and the structural individuality of each patient. Through hands-on treatment, osteopathic practitioners aim to optimize overall function by addressing areas of tissue strain, stress, or dysfunction that may impede normal neural, vascular, or lymphatic flow. By reducing these restrictions, treatment can help alleviate symptoms, improve energy levels, and enhance overall health and well-being. Kennedy’s interest in manual therapy began early, having grown up as a competitive dancer for 19 years. This background provided firsthand exposure to the benefits of osteopathic care for athletes and individuals experiencing a wide range of musculoskeletal concerns. Driven by her passion for health and human movement, Kennedy earned an Honours Bachelor of Kinesiology from Western University in London, Ontario. She then pursued advanced training, completing a Master in Practice of Osteopathic Manipulative Sciences at the Canadian Academy of Osteopathy in Hamilton, Ontario. During her studies, Kennedy completed over 4,200 hours of training, including 1,000 supervised clinical hours. Kennedy later relocated to British Columbia to continue her osteopathic career while embracing the West Coast’s active lifestyle. Her therapeutic approach is individualized, with treatment plans tailored to each patient’s unique needs and goals. She values building strong therapeutic relationships and strives to support her patients’ physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Kennedy is dedicated to helping her clients improve their quality of life through effective, compassionate care. Please note: Kennedy is not currently treating patients under the age of five.
