In August 2008 I graduated from the West Coast College of Massage Therapy, and since then I have continued to expand my knowledge in Myofascial Release therapy. I’ve completed courses on Myofascial Release Therapy, introductory Craniosacral/Fascial integration, fascial taping, self care through yoga and have started the path of working with people for Pre/Post Mastectomy work. I’ve also taken dissection courses that opened my eyes to how the human body looks underneath the skin. I enjoy working with all types of people: I want to help you with your journey to recovery or a self care maintenance routine. During treatment, I treat tissues with a Fascial perspective. Using a combination of mainly Myofascial Release, Craniosacral Therapy, Swedish massage, and deep tissue work; I learn from the body to see what works best for releasing tension. I also use trigger point release, stretches, joint play and compressive work when needed. While working with patients, communication is important, so don’t hesitate to let me know if anything is uncomfortable. My goal for you is to help you feel better: not to make you cry during treatment. Being a therapist requires maintenance; physically and mentally. I have a background in swimming, hockey, ringette, speed skating and a little bit of golf. I hike, run, workout at home, and race sailboats. There are always a few books on the go, and my brain is always thinking of the next thing I can learn or cook! When I’m not at work, I’m out with my mini golden doodle, or you may see me food shopping ns brainstorming about what to cook! I can’t stay away from the smell of fresh roasted coffee beans, or a cold beverage on a hot summer’s day!
