The initial acupuncture session with a consultation usually lasts around 60 minutes. Your acupuncturist will ask you detailed questions about your health, lifestyle and medical history. They may also perform a physical exam, including pulse and tongue diagnosis. After the consultation, the acupuncturist will place very thin needles on specific points of your body.
