About Me: Hey there—I’m a newly licensed Registered Massage Therapist who believes the body keeps its own stories, and my job is to listen with my hands until those stories start to soften and the narrative becomes clear. Massage school classmates nicknamed me the “Calf Whisperer” (a title I wear with zero humility), and I also answer to the moniker Soleus Broleus. I love jogging, and I know that if you don’t have happy calves, there are going to be some unhappy laps. I also enjoy dancing Latin ballroom with my partner. Runners, cyclists, and people who wore heels for twelve hours at a wedding and are now questioning all life choices—yes, your calves too. I see you. I’ve got you. What I bring to the table is a blend of deep, deliberate myofascial work, precise trigger-point releases, and long, rhythmic Swedish strokes. I also like to include heat hydrotherapy, as I feel the circulatory benefits of heat after a day on your feet… can be a real treat. My landing at New Heights is the conclusion of a long career switch process! Prior to being an RMT, I was a librarian! So, if you like books and quiet, or book club energy, where you can have one-on-one conversations and cool discussions, I’d be a good pick for someone who feels calmest in that kind of setting. My favorite fiction author is Haruki Murakami, and my favorite non-fiction author is James Baldwin, if that helps add context to all of that. I also have my own sourdough starter mother, and I feel that says a lot about me without saying anything; her name is Doughorthy… My treatment room is a deliberately warm, judgment-free zone for LGBTQIA+ folks, people of any colour or religious creed, and ESPECIALLY neurodivergent humans, and anyone who’s ever felt like the standard medical script wasn’t written for them. You’re safe here. Gentle sarcasm, terrible puns, and a warm invitation for silence are all part of the package. Why ESPECIALLY neurodivergent people? That’s baseline for me—my wife, my kids, and I are all neurodivergent, so that’s my default OS. I can’t wait to meet you—and your calves—soon. I also adore animals and have a senior cat named Lazy.
