Whitney was raised in the Cochrane area and spent her childhood hiking, backpacking, travelling, playing softball and volleyball, and her first love, riding horses. She trained cow horses and competed in team penning even made top 10 once at the Calgary Stampede. Whitney developed an interest in massage therapy from her desire to help people and her own athletic experience. She began to research alternative health therapies and fell in love with massage therapy and all of its benefits. Whitney then attended the program at Medicine Hat College and graduated with high honors’ in 2008. Whitney utilizes an overall health and wellness approach using deep tissue, myofascial release, aromatherapy, hot stone and various other techniques to help you achieve and maintain optimal wellness. Whitney has been working with the Canadian Pro Rodeo Sport Medicine Team for over 10 years. She enjoys providing her expertise to the rodeo athletes to help keep them at their optimal competitive strength and health. She is currently the Coordinator of the Massage Therapist group and a member of the Service Committee. She has primarily been a stay-at-home mom in the Black Diamond area. She has two beautiful daughters who are also busy country girls with a passion for their ponies. Whitney is an active dedicated Mom with strong family values. She is an avid volunteer at her daughters school and on the C. Ian McLaren School Council. She also enjoys coaching their soccer and softball teams. She continues to hike, camp, and travel.
