Dr. Karen has been working as a Naturopathic Doctor for over 10 years. She has always loved health and nutrition, sharing knowledge and seeing how this medicine can change peoples lives. She has her hands full right now outside the office with 2 little girls. Dr. Karen done hours of extra courses on digestion and hormone health as these are 2 main areas of interest for her. Keeping up with the newest research as well as using traditional naturopathic modalities are both important to her and her practice. She uses food/nutrition, supplements, herbs, acupuncture, and IV therapy mostly to support patients. One of her favourite things about her job is that she has time with her patients. This gives her more time to listen and to educate on why something is happening and how to effectively make changes. She loves connecting with patients and giving them space and support to feel better.
This first visit involves numerous questions aimed at creating a detailed picture of your health history and to start your treatment plan. It’s a good idea to bring any lab results or prescriptions you have, as they may contribute important information. A more focused exam may be necessary at this time as well (an abdominal exam if your primary concern is indigestion, for example).
